Auto Hot Billet Shearer (AHBS) is introduced inside the Caster on the cutting zone to shear hot billets automatically as per desired length.

AHBS replaces manual cutting and it does not required any cutting torch & oxy-acetylene gas. Since it is a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based shearing process so there is no burning loss and no wastage of metal. Auto cutting lengths with minimum error minimize end cutting length in the Rolling Mill.
